DA VISION PICTURES is proud to announce the Launch of Sistas, its new series that follows the lives of a core group of African American women friends since childhood and they deal with life challenges. Sistas is a conversation among women where they will deal with mild to serious life issues from cheating husbands to breast cancer. Women are leading the world right now. There are more women in the work force, more women in high learning institutions and more women taking a more dominate role in relationships. This is a woman's world. We feel as though this is a great time to roll out a show about women especially African American women who aren't always granted the opportunity to have a show centered them and their issues. The market is wide open for shows of this type and our hope is that we can provide a great program that will resonate with women world wide. This story really bothers me because Lee Thompson Young was the prime example of a person wanting to be in the biz and he pursued his passions and was successful at obtaining that dream. I'm not sure what happened but I'd like to address th e mental and physical stress the comes along with chasing "THE DREAM". which I for one am guilty of. Life is about balance, weights and measures. I know ambition is the new sexy but please DON'T take on more than YOU can handle. Don't try to compete, or keep up with the Joneses. Far too many of us are over reaching pass the breaking point. That fast (FAST: Feasting on ALL Stimulating Temptations) life isn't for everyone, no matter the level of success. In this life you must KNOW THY SELF. Know your limits. Instead of competing, just create for the joy of it and if you want to be better, then be better than you were before.
